How Can severe Cough And Cold In A Child Be Treated?

Hello doctor. My son is 2.10 years old. He is coughing since 1 month. More during night time. Whenever he woke up used to cough. He has taken montek 4, solvin cold, koflet. Still having cough. Yesterday a local doctor adviced him duolin with inhaler. Is it correct? I heard it is given to asthma patient. Pls suggest. Thanking you Bijayalaxmi

Duolin Inhaler contains Levosalbuatmol a bronchodilator, which is used in the treatment of bronchial asthma as you have stated. However, the doctor must have felt the need to use it in the present situation as some times cough due to allergy can lead to bronchoconstriction. SInce he is already taking Montelukast for controlling respiratory allergy. You may try this medication too. Thanks.
